More Photos from my recent Roller Derby shoot.
I recently had the opportunity to do a marathon-style photo shoot with our brand new local Roller Derby Team “The Rocky Ricochets” Being new to the whole photo business I was quite excited as it was a wonderful way to practice my skills as well as meet new people and get my name out there so hopefully I can get a bit of word of mouth going on around town. It was a lot of fun, 10 women, 10 completely different personalities and endless ideas and poses made for one of the most interesting photoshoots so far. In the end they made up calendars and individual posters that were eventually sold for as a fundraiser for the new team which works well as free advertising for me. (Here’s hoping for a bit more work this summer.) I am pretty happy with the end product too, as are the girls on the team. Tell me what you think
Looks amazing. So Freakin’ excited for this!
Frankenweenie - Official Trailer (by PlayTraiIers)
It’s been quite a while since I last blogged (even though I promised more content at the beggining of the year) and the Oscars are upon us once again, so I thought I’d write a quick one with some oscar predictions:
Best Picture:
What I want to win: Hugo
What will actually win: The Artist
I don’t really have a problem with either one winning as they are both incredibly good.
Best Actor:
Who I want to win: Gary Oldman for “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Who will actually win: Jean Dujardin for “The Artist”
-Once again, both VERY deserving
Best Actress:
Who I want to win: Viola Davis for “The Help”
Who Will actually win: Meryl Streep
It’s just Streeps time
Supporting Actor:
Who I want to win: Nick Nolte for “The Warrior”
Who will actually win: Christopher Plummer
Supporting Actress:
Who I want to win: Melissa McCarty for “Bridesmaids”
Who will actually win: Berenice Bejo
Bridesmaids is the highest grossing comedy of the year, which equal oscar poison apparently.
Best Animated:
Who I want to win: The adventures of Tin Tin
Who will actually win: Kung Fu Panda 2
Why the F*** is Tin Tin not even nominated?
Best Director:
Who I want to win: Martin Scorsese
Who will actually win: If Scorsese doesn’t win, I’m gonna Choke somebody!
Best Score:
The Artist
Best Original Song:
“Man or Muppet” for sure!
Best visual effects:
Planet of the Apes…it’s a travesty that Andy Serkis was not nominated for best supporting actor..what the hell is the academy thinking…take a risk every once in a while!
That’s about it…let’s see how my predictions pan out!
